Dr Iyer Geetha Krishnan received her medical degree from KEM Hospital in Mumbai in 1999. In 2001, she completed her postgraduate training in Ophthalmology at the C.U. Shah PG Training Centre, and in 2003, she completed the Cornea Fellowship training program.
In 2003, she completed her FRCS (Glasgow). She is now working as an associate cornea consultant. In 2001, she was named the best outgoing postgraduate student, and in 2005-2006, she was named the best Associate Consultant.
In 2006, Dr Iyer Geetha Krishnan had the opportunity to engage in a short-term observership in Ocular Surface Disorders with Dr. Scheffer C G Tseng-Ocular Surface Centre in Miami, USA. She has given numerous presentations at national and international conferences and has four publications in peer-reviewed journals to her credit. Her current research interests include ocular surface disorders, stem cell research, Stevens Johnson Syndrome, and keratoprosthesis.
