Dr Mamta Agarwal received her medical degree in 1996 from the Government Medical College in Amritsar, India. In 2002, she obtained her Diplomate in National Board of Examination (DNB) from Sankara Nethralaya in Chennai.
She specialized in Uveitis and Intraocular Inflammation at the Medical Research Foundation in Chennai’s Sankara Nethralaya (2002-2004) She also pursued an international fellowship in ‘Cornea, external diseases, and uveitis’ at the Francis.I.Proctor Foundation at the University of California, San Francisco, USA (2010-2011). She is currently employed at the Medical Research Foundation in Chennai as a senior consultant in Uveitis and Cornea services. She has given numerous papers at national and international conferences.
Dr Mamta Agarwal was also a grant recipient for the IUSG 2009 Venice Uveitis course. She wrote the atlas “Uveitis and Scleritis,” which was published in 2005. She belongs to the All India Ophthalmological Society, the Uveitis Society of India, the Cornea Society of India, the American Uveitis Society (AUS), and the Intraocular Inflammation Society (IOIS). Her research interests include uveitis, scleritis, corneal infections, and inflammation.
