Dr Amanjeet Singh is the Associate Director of the Division of GI Surgery, GI Oncology, and Bariatric Surgery at Medanta. Dr. Amanjeet Singh completed advanced training at All India Institute of Medical Sciences and laparoscopic colorectal surgery fellowship at SMC Korea after completing super specialisation in Surgical Gastroenterology at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital (where he won the prestigious Ravi K Jerath award for the best DNB Student of the year).
Aside from that, he has received training in advanced laparoscopy, laparoscopic colorectal surgery, and robotic surgery at various centers around the world. Dr Amanjeet Singh is a member of many surgical societies as well as a reviewer for national journals. He has written research papers in all major surgical journals, as well as delivered papers at national and international conferences around the world. His expertise also includes robotic training from IRCAD in Strasbourg in 2011, lap gastric surgery from IRCAD in Taiwan in 2012, and robotic colorectal surgery from AETF in Japan (2013). He holds an MNAMS, an NB Diplomate, an MS (General Surgery), and an MBBS.
His medical experience includes both general and specialized laparoscopic abdominal operations, gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary surgery, robotic abdominal surgery, and perianal surgery. He is a pioneer in hand-assisted laparoscopic surgery and has developed his own cost-effective technique for the procedure known as the “Medanta Handport Technique,” which was introduced at the American Society of Colorectal Surgeons meeting in Florida, USA last year.
