Experience
- Dr Tay Miah Hiang is an oncologist who practices at Singapore’s Gleneagles and Mount Elizabeth hospitals.
He has extensive experience treating cancers of the prostate, kidney, testicular, and bladder, as well as gynecological cancers such as ovarian and uterine/cervical cancers. Additionally, he is specialized in the treatment of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary cancers, as well as lung and brain tumors.
Dr Tay Miah Hiang was a former consultant in the Department of Medical Oncology at the National Cancer Centre and chaired the department’s patient education and survivorship programs. - Dr Tay Miah Hiang previously taught at the National University of Singapore as a clinical instructor and faculty of medicine. He also served as a lecturer for the first Singapore Medical Oncology Review Course in 2007, which included surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and physicians.
He also contributes to the region’s ongoing medical education by providing lectures on cancer treatment to cancer professionals, general practitioners, medical students, and patients.
He has a long history of clinical and translational studies in genito-urinary and other cancers. His research has been published in both domestic and foreign journals such as Urology, Cancer, and the Annals of Oncology.
He has received numerous awards for his service excellence and humanitarian contributions to disaster-stricken regions during the post-Afghanistan war, as well as for his work in Sri Lanka’s tsunami-ravaged areas.
