Dr Vipul Rastogi has joined Medanta as an Associate Consultant in Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurology. He received his psychiatric training in the United Kingdom and has worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist for the NHS in the United Kingdom. He is one of the few Psychiatrists in India who has received formal training in Neurology, having earned his M Sc. in Clinical Neurology from Queen Square, London, one of the world’s foremost institutions for Neurology.
He also holds a postgraduate diploma in neuropsychiatry from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom, as well as a clinical psychiatry diploma from the Republic of Ireland. Deep Brain Stimulation in Depression, OCD, and Movement Disorders are among his research interests. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, and substance abuse. He believes in the holistic treatment of psychiatric disorders and is able to provide comprehensive psychological and social assistance to his patients in addition to drugs.
His research interests are in the field of neuropsychiatry, particularly in the treatment of mental illnesses caused by Dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Tic Disorders, and brain injuries.
