- Dr Thng Zheng Xian is a Consultant at Tan Tock Seng Hospital’s National Healthcare Group Eye Institute (NHGEI).
- Dr Thng Zheng Xian earned his undergraduate medical degree from the National University of Singapore’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2012, graduating with honors and as class valedictorian, earning numerous awards and distinctions in anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pathology, and surgery.
- Dr Thng Zheng Xian then earned a Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) from the National University of Singapore in 2016 and passed the Ophthalmology specialist exit exam in 2018, earning Gold Medals for being the Best Candidate in Neuro-ophthalmology, Oculoplastic and Adnexal Disease, and Paediatric Ophthalmology.
- Dr Thng is passionate about training and teaching and believes strongly in advocating for both students and residents. Throughout his training, he served as chief resident and chief senior resident and was a member of the National Healthgroup Residents’ Council, Residency Program Review Committees, and the Singapore Chief Residency Program, among other organizations. He is currently a Clinical Lecturer at the National University of Singapore’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore’s Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.
