Biodata
- Dr Ting received his training in haematology through fellowships at the Welsh National School in Cardiff, United Kingdom, and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, United States of America.
- Dr Ting received a Federal Scholarship from the University of Malaya to study medicine and an ASEAN Fellowship in Internal Medicine from the National University of Singapore. He was recognized for his years of volunteerism at an inner-city community center, as well as his 20 years with the Blood Service Group (BSG).
- He was instrumental in the creation of Singapore’s bone marrow transplantation program and was a part of the team that performed the country’s first successful bone marrow transplant in 1985. He has served on the Joint Committee on Specialist Training’s Haematology Resident Advisory Committee for the last six years.
- Additionally, he is a visiting haematologist at BSG and a Board Examiner for the Haematology Exit Exam.
- Subspecialty interest: Thrombotic and bleeding illnesses, as well as chronic myeloproliferative and lymphoproliferative diseases.
