- In 1993,Dr Chng Nai Wee graduated with honors in medicine, surgery, and obstetrics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland and the National University of Ireland. He passed the United States Foreign Medical Graduates Examinations and was licensed to practice medicine in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Ireland. He eventually became a specialist in Ophthalmology, earning a Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) from NUS and being assigned as a Clinical Tutor in the Faculty of Medicine and an adjunct research fellow at the Singapore Eye Research Institute.
- Dr Chng Nai Wee was certified in its entirety by the International Council of Ophthalmology. Dr Chng is a Fellow of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Glasgow, the Hong Kong College of Surgeons, and the Singapore Academy of Medicine. He is also a Diplomate of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine in Aesthetic Medicine.
- Dr Chng Nai Wee has undertaken and presented clinical research on Aspheric Wavefront Lenses, Multifocal Lenses, and Mix and Match Presbyopic Lenses. He formerly worked as a Consultant in a public institution’s Cataract and LASIK Service, where he got extensive experience doing microkeratome LASIK, Epi-LASIK, and Femto-Second LASIK using a variety of flap creation and ablation platforms. He is skilled in monovision for presbyopia, KAMRA inlays, Sulcoflex multifocal implants, and Crystalens accommodating lenses.
- He is a skilled cataract and LASIK surgeon who has lectured at the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons meetings.
