- Dr Grace Tan received her medical degree from Guy’s, King’s, and St Thomas’ College of Medicine in London, United Kingdom. Dr Tan returned to Singapore General Hospital and the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) to complete her general surgery and surgical oncology training. She then completed subspecialty training in Cytoreductive Surgery (CRS) and Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) at the renowned NHS Peritoneal Malignancy Unit in Basingstoke, UK.
- Dr Grace Tan is a member of the Asian Peritoneal Surface Malignancy Group’s executive committee and the Gastrointestinal and Sarcoma Clinical Trial Steering Committee. She has co-authored over 70 research publications that have been published in journals such as the Journal of Surgical Research and the International Journal of Clinical Oncology, and she is on the editorial boards of The Surgeon and the International Journal of Hyperthermia.
- Dr Tan was given the RISE awards for exceptional faculty in 2014, the International Journal of Hyperthermia’s Editor’s Award for important contribution by an investigator in the “Clinical” category in 2017, and the Singapore Health Quality Service Gold Award in 2019.
- Dr Tan accepts referrals for all forms of cancer, with a particular interest in gastrointestinal cancers (colorectal, stomach, and esophagus), peritoneal and pelvic malignancy, melanoma, and sarcoma.
