- Dr Sivaraman B earned his MBBS in 1999 from MMC (Madras Medical College) in Chennai.
- He then completed his postgraduate studies in Orthopedics at Royapettah Hospital and Kilpauk Medical College.
- Dr Sivaraman B then moved to the United Kingdom in 2004 to pursue advanced and specialized training in Orthopaedics. He received extensive training in orthopaedics in a variety of NHS UK hospitals, many of which are internationally renowned. He went on to get further credentials such as MRCS(UK), FRCS(UK), and FEBOT(Paris), and is currently a Member/Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (UK). He also earned a Diploma in Sports Medicine from the United Kingdom and Ireland, during which time he treated British athletes. He established a special interest in shoulder and elbow procedures during his career and training.
- Dr Sivaraman B was chosen to get intensive and advanced training in Shoulder and Elbow procedures, earning him a British Orthopaedic Association Upper limb fellowship at Teeside Hospital in the United Kingdom’s Northern Deanery. He then completed a British Orthopaedic Association Fellowship in Complex Trauma Care and Surgery at Royal Stoke Hospital, one of the country’s leading trauma centers. With all of the above significant exposure to Orthopaedics, he obtained his CCT(CESR) from the Royal College of Surgeons and General Medical Council of the United Kingdom, qualifying him to practice as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in the United Kingdom.
- Dr Sivaraman B worked as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a focus on shoulder, elbow, and major trauma surgery. As a Complex Trauma Surgeon, he has always believed that a thorough and methodical survey of any trauma patient will help to reduce the patient’s mortality and morbidity. As a result, he passed a series of exams and was hired as an ATLS Instructor (Advanced Trauma Life Support) in the United Kingdom. He was actively involved in the teaching of other Consultants, junior doctors, and paramedical staff in ATLS.
- He is actively interested in the treatment of sports-related injuries in adults and children, advanced keyhole surgery (arthroscopy), and joint replacement surgery, with a particular focus in shoulder and elbow replacement. He is a firm believer in and practitioner of evidence-based medicine and is always eager to attempt the most up-to-date non-surgical treatment techniques available.
- Additionally, he specializes in shoulder cuff repair, shoulder decompression, shoulder dislocation surgeries, elbow OK procedures, and elbow arthroscopic debridement, all of which are performed by keyhole surgery.
