- Since 2013, Dr Manoj Muthu has been actively involved in sports medicine, serving as the personal sports consultant for a number of national level athletes in India. He has worked with English premier league players and managers. Dr Manoj Muthu formerly served as the head of the sports medicine department for both Chennaiyin FC and Kerala blaster FC. He was the Bengaluru bulls’ sports consultant in the pro kabaddi league.
- Sports Injury Management is a holistic process that must be approached in accordance with the demands of the specific activity and athlete. It should not be treated in the same way as other patients. The treatment should be directed at the underlying cause, not just at the symptoms, such as pain or muscle breakdown.
