- Dr Ravichandran G received his formal medical education (M.B.B.S., 1974-1980) at Madras Medical College, one of the country’s prestigious institutions. Dr Ravichandran G then pursued his interest in dermatology as a diploma holder (1982-84) and then as a Master degree holder (1987-89) at the same institution under the renowned direction of Prof. A.S.Thambaiah and Prof. Patrick Yesudian, as well as an elite team of dermatologists. Dr Ravichandran G received his particular training in Dermatosurgery in 1985 at the Skin Institute in New Delhi under the tutelage of Prof.P.N.Behl. Inspired by vitiligo surgical techniques, he focused his attention on vitiligo surgery and has completed over 2000 procedures to date. He has experimented with numerous novel melanocyte transplant techniques and developed his own successful theurapeutic approach. He has received numerous accolades and honors for his academic and surgical achievements.
