- In Mumbai, Dr Astha Jain is an expert ophthalmologist (Chembur, Mazgaon and Dadar). She specializes in cataract surgery and the treatment of retinal problems, including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and retinal detachment. She has received the JRD Tata Scholarship as well as the Ratan Tata Scholarship. Dr Astha Jain is also the 2013 recipient of the Prof. Yasuo Tano Travel Grant. She is also familiar with the most recent imaging modalities in retina, including Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), fundus angiography (FFA & ICG), and eye ultrasonography. She has numerous articles published in national and international magazines. Additionally, Dr. Astha has written a book titled “Advanced Vitreoretinal Surgery.”
