Biodata
- Dr Prof Kiran Godse received his MD, DVD from B.Y.L.Nair Hospital, Mumbai, under the supervision of Drs. Marquis, Wadhwa, Trasi, and Khopkar. He is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at Dr.D.Y. Patil Medical College and Hospital in Navi Mumbai, Nerul. He has published around 40 works in Indian and foreign journals. He has presented at more than fifty national and international conferences.
- Dr Prof Kiran Godse has received a number of scholarships from the World Congress of Dermatology (2002), the International Congress of Dermatology (2009), and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (2005). (EADV). He has been awarded the Imrich Sarkany Grant and the EADV Fostering Scholarship in order to attend Dr. Wedi’s allergy department in Hanover. In 2010, he delivered an IADVL oration on urticaria. The IADVL Maharashtra branch awarded him the Dr. Lonkar prize for his diagnosis of delayed pressure Urticaria. In 2012, GA2LEN will open a collaborative center at D.Y. Patil hospital for urticaria research.
- In 2009, Dr Prof Kiran Godse served as Joint General Secretary of the IADVL National Executive. From 2007 to 2009, he served as secretary of the IADVL Maharashtra section. He is the coordinator of Urticaria Special Interest Group IADVL 2010. The SIG Urticaria group has released patient education pamphlets and an IADVL consensus statement on the management of urticaria. Der Macon Book on Urticaria was published in 2012.
- Dr Prof Kiran Godse holds fellowships from the United States and the United Kingdom and is a distinguished Associate Professor at several major universities in Mumbai.
