Education & Experience:
Dr Kang Wee Lee handles ear, nose and throat (ENT) cases. Dr Kang Wee Lee is an ENT expert.
He treats patients with various ENT conditions including ear conditions, snoring, and thyroid problems, and has a subspecialty interest on the treatment of sinonasal disorders and other sinus and nasal conditions.
He has detailed knowledge of endoscopic surgical techniques for the treatment of allergic rhinitis, swollen turbinates, nasal obstruction, deviated nasal septum, epistaxis, nose tumours and associated complex paranasal sinus and nose disorders.
Dr Kang Wee Lee started medical school in 1993 at National University Singapore . He obtained combined ENT and rhinology training in Singapore and underwent sub-specialty training in rhinology and advanced endoscopic sinus surgery and skull base surgery in New Zealand.
He worked at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at the Singapore General Hospital and Sengkang General Hospital before opening his private practice.
When Dr Kang was employed at SGH, he was also involved with the Hospital’s Hyperbaric and Diving Medicine Center. As a diving medicine expert and qualified diver, Dr Kang has a particular interest and prior experience treating ENT-related diving medical conditions and specific diving medical issues and emergencies. He is a consultant to both of the hospitals.
Dr Kang Wee Lee previously served as the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Chief of Medical Corps and retired after 20 years of service. In recognition of his contributions to the country, the recipient was awarded the Silver Medal (Military) in 2012.
