Dr Oo Kian Kwan Kenneth graduated in 1997 from the National University of Singapore’s Faculty of Medicine. The nominee obtained his medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Dr Oo Kian Kwan Kenneth completed his Masters in Medicine and completed 6 years of ear, nose and throat surgical training in 2009 where he was certified as specialist in Otolaryngology . (ENT). Dr Oo’s thesis is associated with others in the area of tissue engineering and research.
Dr Oo Kian Kwan Kenneth completed a clinical fellowship in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck surgery with the Department of Otolaryngology, St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, Australia under the guidance of Australia’s leading Head & Neck surgeon, Associate Professor Bernard Lyons, as well as a 1 year HMDP clinical fellowship in Facial Plastic surgery with the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, University of Virginia, United States of America under the supervision of world renown facial plastic surgeon, Professor Stephen Park.
In his main area of expertise, he is a specialist in Rhinoplasty, Otoplasty, Reconstruction of Facial Defects following Injury or Tumour Resection, Microtia Reconstruction, Complementary Surgical and Office Related Procedures for Facial Rejuvenation. Prior to this, as a Consultant ENT surgeon, he was in charge of the “Nose Clinic” which handles patients with allergies and sinusitis. He not only ran the “Voice Clinic” but also offered the multidisciplinary treatment the patients needed.
Dr Oo Kian Kwan Kenneth is a member of the Singapore Medical Association, Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Fellow of the Singapore Academy of Medicine and has published in international peer-reviewed journals including Laryngoscope, Cosmetic reconstructive Surgery, Head and Neck and Clinics of Facial Plastic Surgery. He has lectured in both Singapore and globally at large, and has taught at the Singapore General Hospital and the National University Hospital of Singapore. He currently holds a faculty position in AO-CMF (Craniomaxillofacial) at Changi General Hospital and is a visiting consultant to the National University Hospital as well as the Changi General Hospital.
Dr Oo Kian Kwan Kenneth has won numerous awards in academic and clinical fields such as the Health Manpower Growth Program Fellowship and the First Prize at the Annual ENT Society Conference.
