New York’s Stony Brook University School of Medicine awarded Dr Chidinma her medical degree. She received her Internal Medicine training at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. She then relocated to the west coast to pursue a residency in Pulmonary and Critical Medicine at the Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. During her fellowship, she researched Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), a progressive lung scarring condition with no known etiology. In addition to having her studies financed by internal funding, she received the Sports Spectacular Distinguished Fellow award for her efforts.
