Dr Robert obtained a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from Johns Hopkins University. He earned his doctorate from the University of Chicago’s Committee on Immunology, where he studied T cell development and how radiation boosts anti-tumor immunity. Dr. Chin was awarded the Leon O. Jacobson Prize for research in 2006, when he got his MD from the University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine. At Stanford Cancer Institute, he finished his clinical specialized training in Radiation Oncology.
Dr Chin joined the University of Chicago faculty as an assistant professor upon graduation. He concentrated on cancers of the head and neck, central nervous system, lungs, and digestive tract. He commonly administered single and several fractions of radiosurgery for lesions of the brain, liver, and lungs. His clinical procedures focused on radiation dosage reduction for head and neck malignancies linked with HPV.
