Professional Statement
Dr Reza is a member of the UCLA Stroke Center and a professor in the division of interventional neuroradiology, department of radiology and neurosurgery. His specialty is endovascular treatment of cerebrovascular diseases, such as brain aneurysms, brain vascular malformations, and ischemic stroke. He has been practicing law since joining the UCLA faculty on July 1, 1999. As a faculty member in his division, Dr Jahan has taught more than thirty doctors in his field of specialization, the majority of whom have gone on to build successful academic and clinical practices at major university hospitals in this nation. He is the director of the optional course in neurointerventional radiology for medical students, the director of academic affairs in his division, and the head of the Translational Research Imaging Center at the department of radiology. The UCLA Department of Chemistry awarded him his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, while the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine conferred his medical degree. At the same school, he completed both his internship in medicine and his residency in radiology. He subsequently spent three years at the UCLA Division of Interventional Neuroradiology getting speciality training in interventional neuroradiology. Since July 1999, when he completed his training, he has been a full-time faculty member at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.
Dr Reza is a radiologist linked with numerous institutions in Los Angeles, California, including MemorialCare Miller Children’s and Women’s Hospital Long Beach and UCLA Medical Center. He earned his medical degree from UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine and has been in practice for almost twenty years.
