Education & Experience:
Dr Chen Chung Ming was educated at the University of Newcastle in Australia in the early 90’s. He then returned to Singapore to undergo surgical training and subsequently received his surgical fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1999, and successfully completed his Advanced Surgical Training in General Surgery in April 2004. He became a House Member of the Medical Association of Singapore for 2005.
In order to further his surgical skills, Dr Chen Chung Ming spent a year studying in Sydney, Australia, under the tutelage of Professors Newstead and Lubowski. After returning to Singapore, Dr Chen resumed working at Changi General Hospital. He developed and improved the colorectal service in the Department of Surgery and perfected the laparoscopic colorectal surgery technique. Shortly after, he was promoted to the position of Director of Colorectal Service and Director of Endoscopy Center. In 2009, Dr Chen Chung Ming was awarded with the highest level service award and best service award.
