Dr Chong Chee Keong practices at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital and Parkway East Hospital, Singapore, as a general surgeon. He specializes in minimally invasive breast surgery, and breast cancer and colorectal cancer diagnosis and surgical management.
Dr Chong Chee Keong graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1993, began practicing as a specialist in 1995, and joined the Singapore Specialist Accreditation Board in 2002.
For 20 years, Dr Chong has been looking after patients with cancer. In order to obtain a broad understanding of the treatment of this dreaded disease, he collaborated with several senior surgical oncologists, medical oncologists and radiation oncologists.
Dr Chong Chee Keong has taken part in numerous international conferences on cancer. To practice minimally invasive breast cancer surgery and different reconstruction methods, he also took time off work to do a stint in Japan. Dr. Chong has traveled to locations like the United States and Vietnam to develop his ability to perform minimally invasive colorectal surgery.
He agrees that the breast is an integral part of the appearance of a woman, and is thus a believer in surgery to protect the breast. He will make the greatest effort, but not at the cost of the patient’s protection, to save the breast. To help maintain deformity to the minimum, Dr. Chong has different breast remodelling techniques.
