Education & Experience:
In 1962, in Calcutta, Professor Dr Rauff Abu obtained his MBBS, completed his M.Med in Delhi and subsequently received subspecialty training in the United Kingdom. Dr Rauff Abu chaired the Department of Surgery at the Singapore General Hospital from 1985 to 1988, and then, from 1988 to 1992, at the National University Hospital. In 1990, at the National University Hospital, Professor Rauff participated in Singapore’s first liver transplant.
Professor Dr Rauff is a very professional senior surgeon who has taught many of today’s top surgeons in operation. Dr Rauff Abu is also actively engaged in training both undergraduate and postgraduate students in clinical surgery and is involved in research projects at the National University Hospital.
Breast & Endocrine Surgery, Hepato-Biliary Surgery, Pancreatic Surgery, Upper Gastrointestinal include the areas of specialization/interest of Professor Rauff. Renal Transplant and Surgery.
