Education & Experience:
The Merit Scholarship was awarded to Dr Ravintharan T by the Public Service Commission to complete his MBBS. Degree from Singapore National University, where he graduated in 1982. He was awarded a traineeship in Surgery by the Ministry of Health in Singapore and completed his fellowship exams at the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh (FRCS Ed) and M Med (Surgery) at the National University of Singapore in 1987.
In 1991, Dr Ravintharan T went to Scotland to train in the very new and fast-expanding field of Minimally Invasive (Laparoscopic) Surgery with world-renowned Professor Sir Alfred Cuschieri. He pioneered many major laparoscopic procedures in Singapore on his return, and has been involved in teaching and educating surgeons in this new area of surgery in Singapore and around the region. He received his FAMS and FICS membership in 1993.
In 1997, at the Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre, Dr Ravi entered private practice.
