Dr Sanjay Nalachandran, currently practicing at Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore, is a general surgeon. The specialty and clinical interests of Dr. Sanjay are in vascular and endovascular surgery (vein surgery) (minimally invasive vein surgery).
Dr Sanjay Nalachandran received advanced training in general and vascular surgery in Ireland and Singapore, where he was educated. In 2005, at Freeman Hospital, Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK, Dr. Sanjay obtained a Singapore Ministry of Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship to undertake a one-year advanced vascular surgery training program. Dr Sanjay served as a consultant in the General Surgical Department of Tan Tock Seng Hospital upon returning to Singapore.
Dr Sanjay Nalachandran is currently practicing at Gleneagles Hospital in Singapore and is specialized in advanced laparoscopic surgery as well as conventional vascular and endovascular surgery. In vascular surgery, he is well versed in the new stenting and angioplasty procedures. He has extensive experience in the treatment of varicose veins using the procedure of EVLT. In addition to that, at his Singapore clinic, he also specializes in non-invasive techniques such as sclerotherapy and spider vein laser.
In both undergraduate and post-graduate medical education, Dr Sanjay Nalachandran has always been enthusiastic and heavily involved. In recognition of this, he was awarded the title of assistant adjunct professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Singapore National University.
