With an emphasis on peritoneal malignancies, pelvic oncology, sarcomas and melanoma, her subspecialty is in surgical oncology.
Dr Tan Hwei Ching Grace graduated in 2005 from the School of Medicine of Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas ‘, London (UK).
Dr Tan Hwei Ching Grace subsequently entered the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 2011, and obtained a fellowship in 2014 from the Royal Colleges of Surgeons (General Surgery).
She was a former consultant at the National Cancer Centre’s Department of Surgical Oncology, Singapore.
Dr Tan Hwei Ching Grace is currently serving as a member of the Asian Peritoneal Surface Malignancy Group’s Executive Committee and as a member of the NCCS Clinical Trial Steering Committee for Gastrointestinal and Sarcoma. She is also an MBBS examiner for both the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School and the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine of NUS, as well as a speaker for the NCCS foundation course in clinical oncology.
More than 70 research papers published in journals such as the Journal of Surgical Research and the International Journal of Clinical Oncology were co-authored by Dr Tan. She is also the Singapore Lymphoma Study’s co-investigator and a journal reviewer for The Surgeon and the Hyperthermia International Journal.
