At Mount Elizabeth Hospitals and Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore, Dr Chuang Hsuan-Hung is a cardiologist.
Dr Chuang Hsuan Hung completed his residency at the Singapore General Hospital in internal medicine and received his master’s degree in internal medicine in 2000 from the National University of Singapore.
Dr Chuang Hsuan Hung was given scholarships to the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio, USA, following his fellowship training in cardiology at the National Heart Centre Singapore. There, he specialized in intensive care for heart failure and heart transplant, inherited heart disorders and sudden cardiac death.
He also received advanced cardiovascular imaging training, during which he was interested in the study and development of various techniques for cardiac imaging and their applications in interventional cardiology and stem cell therapy.
As a fellow at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, USA, he spent a sabbatical time in 2006 studying in cardiac and peripheral computed tomography.
Dr Chuang Hsuan Hung was formerly a cardiology consultant at the Singapore National Heart Centre and a clinical lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS.
He was a lecturer at the American College of Sports Medicine, and the organizing chair of the 2008 Annual Scientific Conference of the Singapore Cardiac Society.
He is a member of the Cardiac Society of Singapore, the Cardiologists’ Chapter and the Singapore Academy of Medicine. He is also an active member of international societies, such as the Clinical Cardiology Council.
Dr Chuang Hsuan Hung was accepted as a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, a fellow of the European Society of Cardiology, a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, a fellow of the American Heart Association, a fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography, and a fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography, in recognition of his various publications and contributions to the advancement of cardiovascular treatment and research.
His clinical experience covers heart failure and intensive care, onco-cardiology, and hereditary and valvular heart disease. He has lectured widely on heart failure treatment in Asia-Pacific and is also on cancer drug development advisory boards.
