Biography
Dr Ahmed Hailan is a tertiary specialist and interventional cardiologist at Morriston Regional Cardiac Centre, Morriston Hospital, Swansea.
He completed his undergraduate medical training in the Czech Republic in 2002, before moving to the United Kingdom for postgraduate training in the Kent and Sussex areas, where he gained extensive experience in general cardiology. Subsequently, he moved to Wales for training in cardiology with a strong interest in coronary intervention.
His current specialty includes the investigation of chest pain, angina, basic and complex coronary angioplasty (primarily by radial approach) including adjunctive intracoronary imaging (IVUS, OCT, FFR).
In addition to clinical practice, he has an interest in postgraduate education and has recently been appointed Director of the Cardiology Training Program in the Wales Deanery.
