Biodata
- Dr. Ameet is a skilled otolaryngologist who has been in practice for over 26 years.
His area of expertise is comprised of Microsurgical Ear Surgery, Neuro-Otology, Cochlear Implants, Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, and Pediatric ENT.
He was instrumental in establishing the Cochlear and Hearing Implant Unit at Apollo Hospital, and around 700 patients have benefited from his treatment and care. - In addition, he offers patients with hearing impairments with Bone Anchored Hearing Aids (BAHA), Bone Bridge, and Vibrant Sound Bridge Middle Ear Implants.
He is skilled in Endoscopic Nasal and Sinus Surgical procedures such as Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) and Balloon Sinuplasty, as well as Orbital Decompression, Optic Nerve Decompression, Dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR), Endoscopic Closure of CSF Leaks, and Endoscopic Pituitary Tumor Surgery.
In addition, he treats Head, Neck, Salivary, and Thyroid Gland Lumps and does micro laryngeal surgery and phonosurgical procedures for hoarseness.
Dr. Ameet has garnered multiple honors throughout his career.
He often attends and gives papers at workshops, national and international conferences.
He held the position of Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Medical Colleges of the University of Glasgow, where he has a strong interest in education.
Cochlear Implant Group of India (Hon Secretary), Indian Society of Otology, Association of Otolaryngologists of India, Neurotological – Equilibriometric society of India, European Academy of Otology and Neurotology.
He is the Founder and Managing Trustee of the “I Can Hear Foundation” and is closely linked with philanthropic activities.
He consistently engages in research and publication, having published over 30 articles in journals with peer review. He has also written six book chapters.
