Professional Statement

Dr Andrew holds the positions of Distinguished Professor of Psychiatry at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior, Executive Vice Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences, and Associate Director of the Semel Institute. He is also the Director of the Semel Institute’s Neuromodulation Division. Dr. Leuchter is a 1986 UCLA faculty member and a graduate of Stanford University and Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr Leuchter, an authority in the treatment of mood disorders, oversees the Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Clinical and Research Service. This is one of the nation’s biggest academic TMS programs, administering about 6,000 treatments annually to patients with depression, pain, and other neuropsychiatric disorders.

Dr Andrew is linked with a number of local institutions, including Stewart and Lynda Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA and UCLA Medical Center. He has been practicing law for almost 20 years.
