Education & Experience:

Dr Angeline Goh Ting Hui is a specialist in renal medicine at Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital.

Dr Angeline Goh Ting Hui specializes in transplanting kidneys.

Dr Angeline Goh Ting Hui also treats for conditions such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus and urinary tract infections related to kidney diseases.

Dr Angeline Goh Ting Hui has more than 20 years of clinical medicine experience. She is well-versed in the use of immunosuppressants and has spent over a decade looking after beneficiaries and donors of kidney transplants.

Dr Angeline Goh Ting Hui acknowledges the need for frequent monitoring to keep transplant recipients in good health after having taken care of more than 400 common kidney transplant recipients.

Dr Angeline Goh Ting Hui was a senior consultant nephrologist and transplant physician at the National University Hospital (NUH) prior to beginning private practice, where she was in charge of the Living Donor Kidney Transplant (LDKT) program. Under her leadership, from 2013 to 2019, more than 100 new living donor kidney transplants were completed at the National University Centre for Organ Transplantation.

At the Singapore General Hospital (SGH), Dr Goh received advanced specialist training in renal medicine and became an associate consultant in 2007.

In her practice, the significance of preserving good kidney function after a transplant led her to further improve preventive nephrology. Preventive nephrology is achieved through detecting urinary irregularities such as blood or protein in the urine and diagnosing diabetes and hypertension, and by avoiding kidney failure.

To ensure good overall health, she has created her own program to track and educate patients on how best to maintain good kidney function. She firmly believes that a prerequisite for a healthy life is good kidney function.

Dr. Goh is a former assistant professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS, and an external lecturer at the Nanyang Polytechnic School of Health Sciences.

Formerly responsible for the overall teaching schedule for SGH renal medicine trainees, she was the core faculty in charge of transplant teaching for the Senior Residency Nephrology Program at NUH.

As part of the growth of the Transplant Programme in regional countries, she helped train fellows from the International Society of Nephrology in Bangladesh, Myanmar and Brunei.

Dr Angeline Goh Ting Hui has been involved in the field of kidney transplantation research and has given presentations at regional and international conferences.

In 2009, for her thesis, “Survival of Second Liver Allografts is Influenced by Anti-HLA Class I Antibodies,” she was awarded a Poster of Distinction at the American Transplant Congress, and published her research in local and international medical journals.
