- Dr Bharani Kumar D is a Senior Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with experience working in some of Chennai’s most prestigious hospitals. He has extensive experience performing joint replacements and knee and shoulder arthroscopy.

- Dr Bharani Kumar D completed basic and advanced surgical specialty training in orthopedics before earning the coveted Royal College of Surgeons of the United Kingdom’s FRCS (Trauma and Orthopaedics) degree. Following completion of the FRCS (Tr & Orth), he completed highly specialized training in knee and shoulder arthroscopy and arthroplasty at the University of Llandough in Cardiff, (UK), one of the best orthopedic institutes in the country. He has almost 21 years of orthopedic experience. Additionally, he possesses a Diploma in Orthopaedic Engineering from the world-renowned Cardiff School of Engineering and Medicine in the United Kingdom. He performs complex knee, shoulder, and hip arthroplasties as well as arthroscopic knee and shoulder operations autonomously. As a qualified arthroscopy and arthroplasty surgeon, he customizes patient therapy based on the patient’s demographics and the severity of the problem. He does joint replacement or joint preservation surgery. This customized, patient-centered approach has enriched the patients’ daily lives and earned their gratitude. He has presented at a number of international and national conferences and has authored several peer-reviewed academic articles. He is a member of several national and international societies for arthroplasty and arthroscopy. Additionally, he is an examiner for the Royal College of Accident and Emergency Medicine’s Membership and Fellowship examinations.
