Education & Experience:
Dr Cheng Shin Chuen is an accomplished General Surgeon with an interest in medical and surgical interventions, including vascular and endovascular procedures. He earned his medical degree from the University of New South Wales and training in surgery at the Singapore General Hospital. He completed his Endovascular clinical fellowship at Prince of Wales Hospital as an advanced clinical fellow in 2007.
Prior to starting private practice, he was stationed as the chief of vascular and endovascular surgery services, a general surgeon, an associate program director of general surgery training, and an adjunct assistant professor at National University of Singapore. Dr. Andrew Glenn received the inaugural Nanyang Technological University-National Healthcare Party, Seed Innovation Grant in 2011 for a thesis on vascular imaging.
Dr Cheng Shin Chuen is very interested in teaching the medical and dental professions. The doctor is now teaching novice medical students at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. He is a Medtronic Regional Proctor for complex endovascular procedures and has lectured and taught on his specialty area. Dr Cheng Shin Chuen is a cardiovascular surgeon who works for The Duc Hospital, and a graduate of the American College of Phlebology.
His research emphasis is on, avoiding the most devastating side effects of diabetes such as limb loss and amputations (Below-Knee or Above-Knee Amputation).
