Education & Experience:
Dr Chua Yu Kim Dennis, a specialist in the ear, nose and throat, works at Mount Elizabeth Hospital. He is a specialist in the field of facial plastics, and is specialized in advanced ENT surgery including endoscopic and robotic ENT/thyroid surgery and laser microsurgery. His robotic surgery training was carried out in South Korea.
Dr Chua Yu Kim Dennis is among the few board certified facial plastic surgeons approved by the International Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructions. He is a specialist in Plastic Surgery and was previous the Head of Facial Plastic Service within the Department of ENT at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Dr Chua Yu Kim Dennis graduated with a basic medical degree from National University of Singapore and completed ENT training at the Military Hospital. He received his specialty and state board accreditation from Singapore and is certified to practice medicine by the MOH and Singapore Medical Council.
Dr Chua Yu Kim Dennis was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship to pursue a 1-year clinical fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery with Professor Stephen Park (Senior Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon / President of the American Academy of Facial Plastics & Reconstructive Surgery) at the University of Virginia where he practiced with maximum privileges.
Dr Dennis was enthusiastic about teaching, and was the Lead Tutor for ENT at the Lee Kong Chian (Joint NTU-Imperial College, London) School of Medicine. He is a senior clinical lecturer, teaches ENT residents, and carries out research in his area of expertise.
Dr Dennis is also on the Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Women’s and Children’s Hospital Advisory Committees.
Dr. Dennis has a wealth of educational experience and scholarly publications with respect to ENT and facial plastic surgery. He has been invited to lecture at various international ENT conferences in America, Europe, Turkey, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, China and Macau where he shared his experience with fellow ENT surgeons. He is an organising chairman of the 5th Singapore Facial Plastic Surgery Course scheduled to be held in December 2006.
Dr Dennis is very involved and highly respected in the field of ENT surgery, and is a secretary of the local Society of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.
