- Dr Chung Kwai Kuen Irene earned her MBChB with an intercalated degree in Immunology from Glasgow University in the United Kingdom in 1997. Since 2001, she has been a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom.
- Dr. Chung completed her cardiology training at Glenfield Hospital in the United Kingdom, where she conducted catheter ablation and cardiac system implantation (including defibrillators and CRT devices). She earned her Certificate of Training Completion (CCT) in 2011.
- Dr. Chung has extensive clinical research experience and earned her MD in 2007 for her work on heart failure and platelets. She has presented her studies at several national and international conferences and has authored several peer-reviewed publications. She has served as a peer reviewer for several foreign publications. Dr Chung has also served as a faculty member for a variety of international conferences and courses.
