Education & Experience:
Dr Eng Hsi Ko Peter graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1988 with a medical degree. He was later admitted to the Royal College of Physicians (UK) as a member in 1994. From 1994 to 1997, he studied at the Singapore General Hospital as an endocrinology specialist and was subsequently awarded an HMDP fellowship to practice at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston from 1998 to 1999. He was the recipient of the Endocrine Society’s Knoll award in 1999 for excellent thyroid studies during his training in Boston.
Dr Eng Hsi Ko Peter obtained his specialist accreditation in endocrinology in 2000 and, in the same year, became a Fellow of the Singapore Academy of Medicine. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2006. (UK). He worked as a Senior Consultant in the Department of Endocrinology of the Singapore General Hospital and as the Director of the Singapore General Hospital Diabetes Centre until 2006, when he moved to the Mt Elizabeth Medical Centre to start his own practice.
Dr Eng Hsi Ko Peter is currently a visiting physician at the General Hospital of Singapore, the General Hospital of Jurong, and the Hospice of Dover Park. Dr Eng lectures on diabetes and thyroid disorders in addition to clinical patient treatment and articles for the Singapore Medical Journal and the Annals of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. The main interests of Dr Eng are diabetes and thyroid disorders. As well as all other hormone conditions, he also treats lipid disorders, testosterone deficiency & erectile dysfunction.
