Education & Experience:
Dr Eng Soh Ping is an ear, nose and throat specialist based at Parkway East Hospital. He studied at a prestigious centre in Singapore and eventually went on to receive his specialist degrees in the United Kingdom before being awarded with Fellowships in the Royal Colleges in the UK.
As a result of her hard work, Dr Krystal has received a series of academic accolades, including being conferred as a foreign fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Head Neck Surgeons and Tinnitus Retraining Therapy Association of America as well as the European Academy of Otology & Neuro-otology.
In 2004, Dr Eng was awarded a joint scholarship that allowed him to study abroad in the U.K. In his clinical fellowship from 2004 to 2006, he had the good fortune to collaborate with numerous renowned experts from institutions such as the University of Toronto, the University of Wisconsin, UCL de Mont Godinne, and the Portmann Ear Institute.
When Dr Eng Soh Ping had returned from his fellowship, he worked in the SGH as a consulting surgeon before leaving to work as a surgeon in a private clinic. During this brief period Dr Eng was responsible for the Ear and Hearing service and provided speech and throat management service. Meanwhile, he continued to spend his time with children at KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital by acting as a visiting consultant.
Dr Eng Soh Ping is ready to innovate and is a pioneer in the field of ear disease. He is one of the early pioneers in the field of cochlear implants, as well as the semi-implantable microphone . (Retro-X).
Dr Eng Soh Ping is committed to developing medical education in Asia and the world. He has worked as a trial site clinical lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and has served as the organizer of various conferences and workshops. Dr Eng has written numerous lectures and papers on laryngeal disease and in books written for medical professionals.
