Education & Experience:
Dr Goh Hood Keng Christopher is an Ear, Nose, Throat doctor with over 20 years of experience. He has unrivalled surgical experience for treatment of patients with nasal and throat conditions through his groundbreaking techniques. He practices at his clinic in Novena Hospital in Mount Elizabeth. He was in charge of visiting the Singapore General Hospital and National Cancer Centre.
Attending the Faculty of Medicine at the National University of Singapore, Dr Goh then received his advanced training in Otolaryngology . (FRCS Glasgow and Edinburgh, 1991). It included his training at the University of Edinburgh under the Health Manpower Development Programme Award. There, he spent time with Professor Arnold Maran, a leading ENT-Head & Neck Surgeon in the UK. After earning his Master’s degree, he returned to Singapore and obtained his advanced training in Ear, Nose & Throat Surgery. He was then accepted as a fellow of the Academy of Medicine.
Dr Goh Hood Keng Christopher was chosen by the SGH Scholarship in 1995 to do a one-year surgical program abroad in Toronto, Canada. Under the mentorship of Professor Gullane, a world renowned ear, nose and throat surgeon, Dr Go was awarded the American Head & Neck Society’s Joint Council certification for cancer surgery.
Dr Goh Hood Keng Christopher was previously the Head of the Department and Senior Consultant of Otolaryngology at Singapore General Hospital. He continues in this role and is associated with the cancer centre.
Dr Goh Hood Keng Christopher takes a keen interest in the process of educating future generations of physicians. He is presently an Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Health. He has been a chief examiner in Otolaryngology Exit Exams and has been invited as an external examiner for several overseas examinations. Dr Goh was previously appointed as Chairman of the Specialist Training Committee in Otolaryngology and Chairman of the Residency Advisory Committee in the Ministry of Health.
Besides his teaching duties, Dr Goh is also involved in the ear and ENT field. He has been the treasurer of the Asian Association of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery (ASEAN-HNS). He is the new president for the Society of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery Singapore and has also served as a founding member for the Asian Society of Head & Neck Oncology.
Committed to delivering the best for patients, Dr Goh has helped train a number of surgeons in international medical missions which has strengthened their ability to serve their society. He is the Chief Commissioner of the St John Emergency Brigade and has an emphasis on first aid training and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
