Biodata
- Dr Himika Gupta completed her MBBS at Mumbai’s famous Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital Parel. Dr Himika Gupta trained in ocular oncology at the LV Prasad Eye Institute (Hyderabad) and participated in the National Retinoblastoma Registry under ICMR after completing her MS in ophthalmology. Following this, she received training at the KBHB Eye and ENT facility in Mumbai and worked with the cancer genetics team at the Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. She trained in Canada at the Hospital for Sick Children, the University of Toronto, and the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre to hone her interests. She worked at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre’s Ocular Oncology service (Canada). She has served as a clinical visitor at prestigious American institutions such as Wills Eye Institute (Philadelphia), Cleveland Clinic (Ohio), and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (New York). Dr Himika Gupta has received instruction in facial esthetics, Botox, cosmetology, and silicone oculofacial prostheses. Dr Himika Gupta served as consultant ocular oncologist and co-director of retinoblastoma services at Narayana Nethralaya Bangalore. Her areas of interest include orbito-facial reconstruction following trauma or cancer resections, tear duct abnormalities, cosmetic lid procedures, eye-sparing treatment of eye malignancies, vision therapy, cancer genetics, and oculofacial prostheses. In addition, she has served as a Reviewer for Saudi Journal of Ophthalmology (Oculoplasty section) and Journal of Ophthalmology visual sciences, the official journal of KOS (Ocular Oncology section).
