Experience
- Dr Huang Shoou Chyuan completed his medical training in Singapore and holds postgraduate degrees from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS Edinburgh) and the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians of Glasgow (RCSPG) (FRCS Glasgow). He is also a fellow of the Singapore Academy of Medicine and holds an MBA from the University of South Australia. Dr Huang is the Chairman of the College of Surgeons’ Chapter of ORL (ENT surgery) and an elected member of Gleneagles Hospital’s Medical Advisory Board, where he chairs the Medical Quality Assurance committee and serves on many other committees.
- Dr Huang Shoou Chyuan serves on a number of Ministry of Health (MOH) and academic boards, including the MOH’s Residency Advisory Committee and the Academy of Medicine’s Membership Committee, and is actively involved in post-graduate ENT training (Teaching and Examiner). Dr Huang’s ENT research encompasses all facets of adult and paediatric ENT care, including nose and sinus surgery, treatment and investigation (sleep study) for snoring and sleep apnea, investigation and treatment of ear disorders (including hearing aids), and diagnosis and treatment of ENT cancers, including NPC.
