- Dr Jane Tan is a General Surgeon with a specialized specialization in Colorectal Surgery at Nexus Surgical Associates. In 1997, she earned a bachelor’s degree from the National University of Singapore. She earned a postgraduate surgical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2000 and a Master of Medicine (Surgery) from the National University of Singapore in 2001. In 2005, the Specialist Accreditation Board of Singapore qualified her as a Specialist in General Surgery, and she was later enrolled as a Fellow to the College of Surgeons, Academy of Medicine of Singapore.
- Dr Tan was awarded an HMDP (Health Manpower Development Programme) scholarship by the Ministry of Health in 2005 to pursue a fellowship in Colorectal Surgery. This training took place in Australia’s Royal Melbourne Hospital. This was an extensive and well-rounded colorectal surgery fellowship program that covered all critical aspects of colorectal surgery. She has considerable expertise doing minimally invasive colorectal and general surgical operations, as well as treating colorectal malignancies and benign colorectal diseases, as well as complex perianal and functional bowel issues.
- Dr Tan is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
