She earned her MBBS from the University of Madras in Chennai, her DGO from the same university, and her MD in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the same university.
She is a member of the Association of Tamil Nadu Members of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Indian Menopause Society, and the Southern India Obstetric and Gynecological Society. - She is a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in the United Kingdom and a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, Scotland.
