At Mount Elizabeth Hospital and Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore, Dr Kho Sunn Sunn Patricia is a surgical oncologist currently practicing. She is involved in breast, lung and gastrointestinal cancers as a subspecialty.
Until continuing her specialist postgraduate training in medical oncology at the Sydney Cancer Centre in Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, Dr Kho graduated from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, and worked at the National University Hospital (NUH) in Singapore. In 2003, she received her fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
Dr Kho Sunn Sunn Patricia was Head of the Department of Medical Oncology in the Liverpool Hospital, a public university hospital in Sydney. During this time, she was also the head of the clinical trials unit and a clinical lecturer. More recently, she was a researcher at the Adventist Hospital in Sydney and a visiting scientist at Sydney’s Garvan Research Institute.
From 2002 to 2003, her interest in translational research led her to work at the Genome Institute of Singapore. With a dissertation thesis entitled “Optimising Adjuvant Treatment for Colorectal Cancer,” she received a Master of Philosophy (Medicine).
Dr Kho Sunn Sunn Patricia is a member of the Medical Oncology Community in Australia, the International Association of Lung Cancer, the Australian Lung Trials Group and the Australasian Gastrointestinal Trials Group of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
