Education & Experience:
Before physicians, I studied and perfected my cataract surgery and general ophthalmology in Singapore’s National Eye Centre and Tan Tock Seng Hospital to a high international level.
Ophthalmology and strabismus in infants. I worked for over a year at Great Ormond Street Hospital dealing with sick children. I also worked at Moorfield Eye Hospital dealing with strabismus.
I am the founder and director of the Lions National Glaucoma Eye Screening Program with extensive experience of glaucoma.
Difficult Eye Problems: Dr Khoo Boo Kian is professionally qualified and knowledgeable in all surgical aspects of ophthalmology as I spent several years in a general ophthalmology department practicing all sub-specialties including Oculoplastic, Retina, Cornea and Glaucoma. This thorough training gave me the confidence to conduct complex ophthalmology procedures alone and also to manage any complications that might occur during ophthalmology procedures.
