Dr Khoo Li Chung Mark, a doctor of ear, nose and throat, has served as a surgeon for more than 10 years.
Dr Khoo Li Chung Mark offers specialised treatment for thyroid disorders, salivary gland malignancies and head and neck cancer surgery.
After graduating from medical school at the National University of Singapore, he went on to specialise in ear, nose and throat care (FRCS Edinburgh and Glasgow, 1995). Then, he went through the Higher Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) Fellowship Award program to complete a course in head and neck surgery at the University of Toronto, Canada.
In addition to his previous involvement with the Novena Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Dr Khoo is currently a consultant at the National Cancer Centre and the Johns Hopkins International Medical Centre. He serves on the Advisory Panel at Dover Park Hospice.
Dr Khoo Li Chung Mark was previously a senior consultant at the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Throughout his career, he held administrative leadership positions including the ENT Head & Neck Tumour Board and the Head & Neck trials in his department. In 2003, he was named Chief of the Department of Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr Khoo Li Chung Mark also had a passion for teaching. He has worked as a Clinical Lecturer at National University of Singapore since 2004 and as an Adjunct Associate Professor at National University of Singapore since 2007. He has also been an Otolaryngology examiner for the Masters of Medicine and Diagnostic Medicine.
Not only in the ENT surgical area, but also at international conferences, his experience is vast. Dr Khoo has traveled to the US, Canada, Australia, and China on a regular basis and has presented on subjects ranging from nasopharyngeal cancers to thyroid cancers. At various conferences in these neighboring countries, he has expressed his experience and advice through presentations and demonstrations. As an author of numerous publications in the field of Otolaryngology, he also has the credentials of having published in various medical journals.
Dr Khoo’s dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed within the medical community. In 2003, he received the Commendation Medal for his commitment to patients during the SARS epidemic, and also for his extensive community involvement.
