Dr Ko Eng Soan Suwandi graduated with an MD degree from the School of Medicine at Chiba University in 1972 and practiced from 1972 to 1980 at the Surgical Departments of Chiba University, Metropolitan Fuchu Hospital and Tokyo National Chiba Hospital.
Dr Ko Eng Soan Suwandi subsequently received a PhD degree from Chiba University in 1982 and joined the Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre in private practice.
