Dr Koh Siam Soon Philip is one of the leading cardiologists who has several years of extensive experience and expertise in balloon angioplasty and stenting. He has over twenty years of clinical medicine and cardiology experience. He was educated and trained at various prestigious hospitals, including Oxford, in the United Kingdom. He graduated from Edinburgh and started his career at different hospitals in the UK for over 12 years. At that point, the outstanding and pioneering teachers had moulded him to be a fine cardiologist. He is also well versed in cardiac catheterization and stenting, echocardiography, implantation of pacemakers, and many of the new cardiac studies.
Dr Koh Siam Soon Philip returned to Singapore as a consultant interventional cardiologist based at Changi General Hospital, a large 850-bed government hospital, after completing his studies and training, where he later became a senior consultant and head of the cardiology section. He did extensive research work and wrote extensively and received the Best Teacher Award twice. He teaches as a senior lecturer at the National University of Singapore. He also attends a lot of cardiology conferences and has been invited to the Asia Pacific region as a speaker. Dr Koh Siam Soon Philip enjoyed his practice at Mount Elizabeth Hospital Singapore after ten years of government service, where he now works full time.
