Dr Freid obtained her medical degree from the Philadelphia-based Jefferson Medical College. She subsequently completed a residency in internal medicine at Temple University Hospital, followed by a fellowship in rheumatology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where she conducted research on physical activity and exercise patterns in patients with inflammatory arthritis.
