Dr Lee Chee Wan is a cardiologist who works at Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital.
Cardiac arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats), coronary artery disease and hypertension are his special interests.
Dr Lee Chee Wan is highly trained in cardiac device implantation (e.g. loop recorder, pacemaker, and defibrillator), catheter ablation, and coronary angiography (imaging studies using x-rays to see blood vessels in the body).
With both medical and doctoral degrees, Dr Lee is one of the few cardiologists in Singapore. He studied medicine under the John Crawford Scholarship Scheme at the University of Sydney and graduated with first class honours in 1998. Subsequently, he completed his postgraduate medical training at the University of Oxford and his specialist training in cardiology at the University of Cambridge, and obtained his Certificate of Completion of Cardiology Training (CCT).
To advance his expertise and know-how in complex cardiac pacing and electrophysiology, Dr Lee spent 18 months at the Toronto General Hospital in Canada.
Dr Lee Chee Wan was a senior consultant and head of the Department of Cardiology at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital prior to joining private practice. He was also the director of the cardiovascular center of the hospital, the chief of pacing and cardiac electrophysiology, and the former director of the coronary care unit of the hospital.
Dr Lee Chee Wan is a visiting physician at the National Heart Center and Tan Tock Seng Hospital, an associate assistant professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and a clinical professor at the Chian School of Medicine in Lee Kong.
