- Dr Lim Chin Chin Vivien is an endocrinologist who practices at Singapore’s Gleneagles Hospital.
She has extensive experience treating and managing general endocrinological conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, adrenal and pituitary disorders, as well as hormone imbalances in men and women.
Dr Lim Chin Chin Vivien completed her training in Singapore and was qualified as a specialist in endocrinology in 2008. She is a member of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (UK) and holds a Master’s degree in internal medicine. - The Ministry of Health awarded her a Health Manpower Development Plan scholarship to gain experience treating complex endocrinology cases at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, USA. Simultaneously, she earned qualification from the International Society of Clinical Densitometry as a clinical densitometrist.
Dr Lim Chin Chin Vivien previously worked at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH) and the Diabetes Centre prior to joining Gleneagles Hospital. She assisted in the management of general endocrinology and diabetes clinics, as well as bone and calcium and adrenal/pituitary clinics, in addition to offering thyroid and fine needle aspiration cytology services.
Dr Lim has served as the program director for the endocrine residency program at KTPH and as a senior lecturer at NUS’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
She is the new president of the ASEAN Federation of Endocrine Societies and a member of the International Society of Endocrinology’s executive committee. Previously, she served as president of the Endocrine Metabolic Society of Singapore (EMSS) and as honorary secretary of the Singapore Osteoporosis Society (OSS).
Dr Lim has presented several talks at international and regional endocrine meetings to both healthcare professionals and the general public on a range of topics. Additionally, she organized several regional endocrine conferences in Singapore and continues to be an advocate for endocrinology on a global scale.
