Education & Experience:
At the National University Hospital, Dr Lim Hong Liang was the head of the Thoracic Oncology Department, Head and Neck Service and Bone Marrow Transplant Program. He was the Chief of the Department of Hematology and Oncology there from 2000 to 2005.
When he left for private practice at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, he was also the Associate Chairman of NUH’s Medical Board. In 1986, Dr Lim graduated from Singapore National University.
He obtained training at NUH in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. In 1992, at the Tokyo National Cancer Centre, he won a Japan JICA scholarship for further training in the Department of Thoracic Oncology.
Under a grant from the Ministry of Health, Dr Lim Hong Liang was also qualified in high-dose chemotherapy and bone marrow transplantation at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney.
